Workshops and Courses
Montessori For Life takes an integrated approach to all of our workshops, courses, and trainings. We apply the scientific pedagogy Maria Montessori used to create what is known as Montessori education: observation, non-intervention, and respect for spontaneous activity, respecting the dignity and rhythm of the person at any and all ages and conditions. We combine the heart, mind and body in all that we do; giving equal time to theoretical, practical and experiential learning.
The first International Montessori Birth to Two Course in RomeThe first Montessori Birth to Two International Course in summer 2019 included seminars, workshops, and observations covering the science of adaptation (epigenetics), the history of brain science and the neurobiology of movement, experiential relationship building and deep listening exercises, how to work with newborns, "ambientamento" - the process of growing into a new experience and how to introduce babies and the youngest children into childcare in a non-violent way, movement studies by Emmi Pikler, heuristic play by Elinor Goldschmied and the history of Centro Nascita Montessori.
